About Our Area

Located in northern Oconto County on State Highway 32 in the town of Lakewood, Wisconsin, the Nicolet Medical & Dental Clinic is in the heart of the Nicolet National Forest and close to some of the best outdoor recreation spots in the State. We are between the Peshtigo and Wolf Rivers, offering the finest whitewater rafting in the Midwest. In addition, we are surrounded by lakes, rivers and streams offering a variety of swimming, boating and fishing opportunities for the outdoor enthusiast.

There is an abundance of wildlife here. There is a trout rearing station in Lakewood and we are close to the Knowles Creek Impoundment, a popular spot for birdwatchers. Our area also boasts some of the best snowmobile and ATV trails in the State, and there are several quality golf courses nearby. Hiking, biking and cross-country ski trails are also plentiful in the area. No matter what the season, there are plenty of recreational opportunities nearby.
